Calumet County is located along the beautiful eastern shore of Lake Winnebago. It’s a mix of rural and urban areas which allow for the opportunity to experience both beautiful vistas, farm fields, hiking trails, snowmobile trails, and four boat harbors. This is in addition to the bustling, urban pace in the county’s urban northwest corner bordering the northeast shores of Lake Winnebago.
Calumet County’s unique landscape, courtesy of Lake Winnebago and the Niagara Escarpment, makes for beautiful parks and vineyards. It is a top destination for family fun and has a variety of activities and attractions including art and cultural amenities such as museums, coffee shops, exploring caves or angling on Lake Winnebago. It is also home to the Ariens Nordic Center, an official U.S. Biathlon training course, with snow-making system and lighted trails for cross-country skiing and winter fat biking. The 3.5k of paved trails are also open to the public year-round for roller skiing, inline skating, running and walking.
