Implementing Target Growth Industries

Implementing targeted growth opportunities is a strategy intended to refine the focus of promotions and outreach.  This initiative serves to qualify market opportunities and to subsequently design and execute tactical approaches to markets.

Initial targets recommended by the targeting/clusters committee include:  advanced manufacturing markets and agriculture-related markets.  The basis for this initial selection is based on the dominant role that both markets currently enjoy in New North.  As prominent market segments of New North, the assumption is that advantageous or competitive market attributes exist in New North that can be leveraged further to attract new investment to the region.

Given ongoing market research to qualify New North's economic profile related to these two target markets, a marketing case will be made for current market attributes and competitive posture.  Essentially, we will work to qualify or prove market advantages.
