Encouraging Educational Advancement
This initiative focuses both upon tactics to encourage lifelong learning objective in the workforce, but also to encourage education and career-orientation for students recruited to technical trades or other demand occupations. Aspects of this initiative include:
- The NEW Manufacturing Alliance, a collaboration of manufacturing firms, Workforce Development Boards, and technical colleges forms to address labor supply and promotion of manufacturing careers through educational institutions and through workforce transtiion training progams.
- A group of HR managers and service providers (including the education and workforce development resources) working specifically on workforce retention and recruitment issues tied specifically to occupations within customer service center operations.
